Field mouse

It is small and slender and measures 3 to 4 inches long. It is characterized by large ears, small eyes and a small, pointed pink nose. It is pale brown to pale gray in color.

Its droppings are rod-shaped. It feeds 15 to 20 times a day. It can fit into a ¼ inch diameter opening. It is a carrier of several serious illnesses.
It reaches sexual maturity at the age of 2 months. The female can give birth every 40 to 50 days a litter of 4 to 7 young. The adult lives 1 year.
